Detlef Hoch was born in Wattenscheid, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany in 15. February 1963. He is a typical Waterman ascendent Libra, thatīs why he is always dreaming. He doesnīt look like a normal german (not even in temperament). The fact that he has lived two years in Brazil has made him look like a brazilian and this is a characteristic that he appreciates very much. He wishes himself a penthouse at the Copacabana beach. He says he would spend most of his time watching the girls at the beach lying in the sun. But before this dream turns to reality I am afraid he is too old and I hope not so dangerous...

He studied Medicine in Bochum. He has also studied two years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the moment he works in Wuppertal, where he is one of the Assitant Professor for a Ear-Nose-Throat, HNO-Clinic. He loves to operate and does it very good. The patients are very happy to be cared by him. The children like him because for them he is like one of them and the whole department is very impressionated from his efficience and fantasy. And not to talk about his good humour... it can contaminate one.

What he likes? Oh guess what? Football, what else!. In Germany he is a Schalke 04 fan, in Brazil, Botafogo (oh my goodness!). His hobbies, when he is not working, are: 1 - His little brazilian girl (me!); 2 - His children; 3 - Play the piano; 4 - His friends (fool around, drink, eat, conersation, etc) and last but not least 5 - Sleep, sleep, sleep... He has the patience of a saint with our children. You can see things this way: I am the "Stepfather", he is the mother... He always takes time or find some to play with them.

Dudu is fascinated about brazilian music. He likes to hear Bossa Nova but the songs from the new pop groups like Legião Urbana, Marina, Rita Lee, Leo Jaime, Cazuza and others make him almost crazy. He can hear it hours and hours and ask me how a country is able to make so many different rythms and melodies. He likes to hear Samba too, but not every day (thanks God!)...

And the most important of all: he is a wonderful husband and has spoiled me all those years (lol)... And what about flowers, beautiful CDs, Champagne, chocolate boxes or even something very small (or big) as a gift? I get it. And I think I have a lot of luck and got the biggest prize in the lottery of love...
