Cities

I love Rio de Janeiro and Bochum.
They are my favorite places all around this world, where I feel at home.

Copacabana is a crazy city, big and confused but somehow traditional, familiar and delicious.
It is a city for delight and pleasure - dolce far niente (= sweet doing nothing). One must have lived there to understand and love it.

Bochum is not as much pretty as Copacabana but is a calm city,
charming and sympatic with its old buildings (not too many, unfortunately - Bochum was about
70 per cent destroyed during the Second World War!), its young people,
the immigrants, the students and the old european tradition.

I have collected some fotos from those wonderful cities.
They are very special pictures...

I would like to thank Mr. Hansi Hungerige, the owner of the old Bochum pictures
for permiting me using them at this site.

I am working on the new ones... I must search the places where they were taken.
